After a fun-filled half-term break with their parents, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have headed back to join their classmates. The siblings all attend Lambrook School in Berkshire, with George, 10, Charlotte, eight, and Louis, five, currently in Year Six, Year Four and Year One respectively.

Despite being members of the royal family – and the fact that George is set to one day be King – Prince William and Princess Kate’s children enjoy a relatively normal childhood at school, where they are able to learn and form friendships with their peers without a fuss about their status. And just like most children their age, it seems the little royals have even been given their own nicknames by their class.

It was previously revealed that George’s classmates used to call him ‘PG’, a reference to his initials. And it seems that the name has since evolved to ‘PG Tips’, with George enjoying the nickname so much that he also goes as ‘Tips’ too – even when he’s at home with his family.

Princess Charlotte, meanwhile, has been given a telling nickname by her school mates. The confident little girl is known as the ‘warrior princess’. Royal expert Katie Nicholl explained that Princess Charlotte has a feisty personality and thus earned the nickname among her young pals.

“Apparently she earned that nickname because obviously, she is a Princess, but she’s quite a tomboy,” she previously told Entertainment Tonight. “She loves climbing trees and she’s very much an adventurer, she was quite known for her feisty personality.”

Charlotte’s parents also have unique nicknames for their only daughter, with the Prince of Wales referring to his daughter as ‘Mignonette’, a French term for ‘small and delicate’ and the Princess of Wales calling her ‘Lottie’.

And earlier this year, royal fans got to find out the sweet nickname that Kate has for her youngest child, Louis. The five-year-old prince performed his first-ever royal engagement when he volunteered with his family at a local Scout group as part of the Big Help Out initiative back in May. While roasting marshmallows, the Princess of Wales was caught on calling her son by his cute nickname. “Pop that in the fire, Lou Bug, the mother-of-three could be heard saying.

William and Kate are also said to have nicknames for one another. The Prince is said to sometimes call Kate ‘Babykins’, while she refers to William as ‘babe’ but also sometimes pokes fun by referring to him as ‘baldy’. Prince William and Kate were also overheard using nicknames for each other at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2016, when they lovingly referred to each other as “darling” and “babe”.

William previously revealed that it was his mother, Princess Diana, who gave him his first ever nickname – “Wombat”. In a 2007 interview with NBC’s Matt Lauer, he explained: “It began when I was two. I’ve been rightfully told because I can’t remember back that far. But when we went to Australia with our parents, and the wombat, you know, that’s the local animal.” So, I just basically got called that. Not because I look like a wombat, or maybe I do.”

Kate, meanwhile, was nicknamed “Squeak” as a young girl while attending St Andrew’s School in Berkshire. She later recalled: “I was nicknamed Squeak just like my guinea pig,” she said. “There was one called Pip and one called Squeak because my sister was called Pippa and I was Squeak”.
