The Princess of Wales has sparkled in green as she walked to church in Sandringham today clutching Prince Louis’ hand. King Charles led the Royal Family to church for their traditional Christmas Day service with Queen Camilla by his side. They were followed by Prince William and Kate, who wore a forest green coat and matching hat along with a green tartan scarf. Louis held his mum’s hand and looked grown up in a suit and overcoat with a green tie.
Prince George also wore a green tie, while Princess Charlotte, in a tartan jacket with a bow in her hair, held dad William’s hand for the short walk to church.
Prince William, Kate and their three children’s appearance on Christmas day comes after they skipped the royals’ annual pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace last week. The festive party is held for all members of the Royal Family and usually takes place around a week before Christmas, with around 70 of the King’s relatives invited to the bash.
It had been thought that William and Kate would attend with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, however, they had already begun their Christmas holiday so weren’t at the event in London. A royal source said the family were already in Norfolk, as had been planned, and were looking forward to spending time with the rest of the royal family in Sandringham over Christmas.
However, they did share their Christmas card photo, which was an adorable family snap of William and Kate with their arms around their children.

Christmas comes at the end of a highly challenging year for the Wales family following Kate’s cancer diagnosis and subsequent chemotherapy treatment. In her highly personal video from several months ago, where she revealed her chemotherapy treatment had finished she said that she was doing all she could to remain “cancer free”.
She also spoke of how she was “looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months”.
