The Princess of Wales debuted a £100 ‘Christmas present from Prince William’ for the Royal Family’s annual Christmas church service yesterday.
The royal mother-of-three, 40, opted for a khaki ensemble as she arrived at St Mary Magdalene church on the Sandringham estate with her husband, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Along with a feathered hat by one of her favourite designers, Philip Treacy, the Princess looked sensational in a longline military-style coat by Alexander McQueen.
Finishing off her festive look, Kate also wore a pair of £100 gold earrings from French brand Sezane.
According to The Sun, the statement pieces of jewellery were a Christmas present from Prince William.
The high street earrings – which sold out online instantly – are made from recycled brass.
Each earring has four strands of blue jewels hanging off a single gold-effect stud in the style of an ancient coin.
The Princess of Wales reportedly owns five pairs of earrings from Sezane, prompting royal fans to gush over Prince William’s present.
On Twitter, one person wrote that it was ‘so sweet’ of the Prince of Wales to buy a present from one of his wife’s favourite retailers.
Another added: ‘They are gorgeous earrings, she is bound to love them. I wish my husband was as thoughtful as William!’
Last December, the then Duchess of Cambridge wore a pair of the brand’s £70 gold hoop earrings during a visit to the V&A museum in London.
What’s more, the mother-of-three is also a fan of the trendy French brand’s clothing too and was pictured wearing their Margeurite blouse while promoting her Hold Still photography project in 2021.
While greeting fans on the Sandringham estate yesterday, the Princess of Wales told one well-wisher that her children ‘got lots of lovely things’ this year but had ‘quite an early start’.
As the Royal Family joined King Charles yesterday on his walkabout outside Sandringham church, Kate was spotted talking with a young girl about her day so far.
The young fan, named India, was filmed giving the Princess a bouquet of flowers, which she was thanked for.
Kate went on to ask India: ‘Have you had a nice morning?
India replied: ‘Yes, have you?’
Kate then said: ‘I’ve had a lovely morning – thank you very much – I had quite an early start this morning.’
Another member of the public is heard jumping into the conversation to ask: ‘Did the children get lots of nice things?’
The Princess then said ‘they got lots of lovely things’, before walking on.
It was also claimed that Prince William commented on the children’s presents when talking with the fans today.
Hilary Marsh, 71, from Suffolk said: ‘I asked William if Father Christmas had been for the children and he smiled back and said, “They’ve had enough presents”.’
William and Kate’s three children were also at the walkabout and spoke with well-wishers from members of the public after their traditional Christmas Day church service on the Norfolk estate.
George, nine, Charlotte, seven, and Louis , four, also received some presents from those waiting outside on Christmas.
Gemma Clark, 42, who travelled with her 72-year-old father Paul Clark from Long Sutton, Lincolnshire, gave each of the three children a novelty toy called a gonk – a festive gnome with a pointed hat. She also gave flowers to Kate.
