Prince William has been pictured at a charity polo match as Princess Kate missed the event. The Prince of Wales is playing polo today in memory of the late Rugby League legend and MND campaigner Rob Burrow, hoping to raise £1million.
William, 42, showed off his skills in the Out-Sourcing Inc Royal Charity Polo Cup at the Guards Polo Club at Windsor in aid of 11 different charities supported by himself and the Princess of Wales.
Kate, who is undergoing chemotherapy for cancer, did not attend the charity match, despite attending for the last couple of years.
It is the 13th time the Prince of Wales has played in the polo match.
The total sum raised after today is expected to reach a whopping £13million.
The charities concerned are all close to the couple’s hearts and include emergency services, mental health, early years, conservation and the armed forces.
This year, the MND Association is being championed for the first time, whose patron is Princess Anne.
The MND Association charity is associated with the late Rob Burrow.

The Prince of Wales presented Burrow and his friend Kevin Sinfield with their MBEs in January for their fundraising efforts.
Burrow sadly died in June, five years after his initial diagnosis.
It is understood the meeting had a profound effect on William and he has continued to follow their story closely.
The prince paid personal tribute to the “legend of rugby league” and MND campaigner Burrow after his death from the disease last month.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital has been nominated as a longstanding patronage of the prince.
Given Princess Kate’s diagnosis this year, William has a new understanding of how cancer affects families.
Friday’s charity polo match kicked off at 3pm, with presentations starting just after 4.30pm.
