When Catherine, Princess of Wales, appeared at Prince William’s annual charity polo match at the Guards Polo Club on Friday, July 10, she wore a classic summer look with a meaningful but easy-to-miss accessory: a friendship bracelet reportedly made for her by her 11-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte.

The princess has now worn the bracelet in public appearances multiple times, including at Wimbledon, while visiting a children’s hospital, and when she hiked the UK’s toughest mountains in the National Three Peaks Challenge in June. Princess Charlotte reportedly made the bracelet for her mother as a good luck charm of sorts to keep her company as she completed the challenge, becoming the first Royal to do so, raising awareness and supporting The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in the process.

At Prince William’s polo match, Kate wore a black and white gingham dress by Temperley London, Ralph Lauren sunglasses, and Camilla Elphick slingbacks. It was the princess’s first time attending the charity event since 2023, having taken a break for the last few years amid her cancer treatment and recovery. After the match, she gave Prince William a kiss on the cheek and participated in the event’s awards ceremony.

While Princess Charlotte did not appear to attend Friday’s polo match, it’s safe to say that she was there in spirit—with her (possibly Taylor Swift-inspired?) string bracelet on her mother’s arm.
